Terms and Conditions
Organized by Innovari – UMIT, SNDT Women’s University
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in VisioNaari – Women Ideation Competition (“Competition”) organized by Innovari, UMIT – SNDT Women’s University (“Organizer”). By registering for the competition, participants agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.
1.ELIGIBILITY
- The competition is open to women participants aged 18 years and above.
- Participation is allowed only in teams consisting of 2 to 4 members.
- The team leader must be a woman aged 18 years or above and will represent the team in official communications.
- At least one team member must be female.
- Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Innovari reserves the right to verify participant eligibility at any stage.
2.COMPETITION STRUCTURE
- Round 1 – Idea Registration and Video Pitch: Participants must submit a registration form and a 2-minute video pitch explaining the idea. Participation in Round 1 is free.
- Round 2 – PPT Pitch Submission: Shortlisted teams must submit a PowerPoint presentation and pay the participation fee (₹200 per team for UMIT/SNDT students and ₹500 per team for others). The fee is non‑refundable.
- Round 3 – Grand Finale: The top 10 teams will present their ideas physically before a jury panel.
- PRIZE MONEY
- The total prize pool is ₹50,000.
- Prize distribution will be announced during the finale.
- Prize money may be subject to applicable taxes under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
- Innovari reserves the right to revoke prizes in case of rule violations.
4. EVALUATION CRITERIA

- Feasibility
- Market potential
- Social impact
- Quality of presentation
- The jury panel appointed by Innovari will make the final decision.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT
- Participants retain ownership of their ideas and intellectual property.
- Participants grant Innovari a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to use submitted materials for documentation and promotional purposes.
- Innovari does not claim ownership of participants’ intellectual property.
6. IDEA OWNERSHIP DISCLAIMER
- Similar ideas may already exist or may be developed independently.
- Innovari, sponsors, mentors, or jury members are not liable for idea similarity disputes.
7. IDEA AND PUBLICITY CONSENT
- Innovari may photograph or record participants during the competition.
- Participant names, photos, and videos may be used for promotional or documentation purposes.
- Participants waive the right to compensation for such use.
8. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION (DPDP Act 2023 Compliance)
- Innovari may collect personal data such as name, contact information, educational details, video submissions, and presentations.
- Data will be used only for competition administration, communication, evaluation, documentation, and reporting.
- Innovari will implement reasonable security measures to protect personal data.
- Participants may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
9. COMPLIANCE WITH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT 2000
- Submitted content must comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000.
- Content must not contain unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or infringing material.
10. CODE OF CONDUCT
- Participants must maintain professional conduct.
- Harassment, discrimination, misconduct, or plagiarism may result in disqualification.
11. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
- Innovari is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damages arising from participation.
- Innovari is not liable for technical failures, internet disruptions, or travel issues.
12. SPONSOR DISCLAIMER
- Sponsors may provide financial or logistical assistance but do not influence jury decisions.
13. INDEMNITY CLAUSE
- Participants agree to indemnify Innovari, SNDT Women’s University, sponsors, jury members, mentors, and organizers against legal claims arising from participation
14. MODIFICATION OF COMPETITION
- Innovari reserves the right to modify rules, timelines, or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances.
15. FORCE MAJEURE
- Innovari shall not be liable for delays caused by natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, technical disruptions, or venue issues.
16. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
- These terms are governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
