Arrange for entertainment such as cultural events. Mark important milestones, birthdays, or festivals with small celebrations. Include friends, family, or fellow patients in these festivities.

The activity Sab Ki Rasoi which we started over 8 Years back has now changed into a movement.

This is a place where there is immense scope for innovation, for this noble social, cause which will help improve quality of life of these patients.

on 12 November 2023 we celebrated Diwali at Dr Earnest Borges Home, which is a dormitory for financially weak Cancer patients who come to Mumbai for treatment and we tried to bring smiles to their faces

One of mentors duty is to ensure all round growth of his mentees, as well as exposing them to various cultures, disciplines, arrange and encourage their interaction with students from different backgrounds by informal interactions.

On February 4, 2023 I took my mentees Riya Jha, Mehwish Qureshi, Shruti Bhabad, Sadaf Khan and Avanti Sawant from Usha Mittal Institute of Technology for a visit to Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay , my alma mater, where I am mentoring Pranoti More and Rashmi Keche under SARC IIT Bombay‘s ASMP program. We were lucky that we could also meet Supriya Bhide, PhD scholar at IITB , whom I had mentored while she was a UG student at New Leap Labs

We spend the whole day in IITB campus, visited labs, Lake, and also had lunch snacks at Gulmohar. It was an emotional and nostalgic moment for me visiting my Hostel 1.

This was a significant step in improving my bonding with my all my mentees as well as bonding, cultural and academic interaction between my mentees across various institutions.

As a part of my mentoring program, I had an opportuinity to visit the Bhaktivedanta Institute at ISKCON Mumbai along with my Second Year Computer Engineering Student Mentees Shruti Bhabad Aditi Bhosale Virakti Dhanmeher Riya Jha

The good Lady Kanwaljeet Kaur , who is the Centre Manager and also pursuing her PhD in Microbiology from hashtag#mumbaiuniversity explained the work being done there.

She walked us through the evolution of Science and Technology starting from Newtonian Physics which was based on motion to James Clerk Maxwell who discovered Electromagnetism and Later Albert Einstein famous equation E=mc2 as different forms of energy.

She also explained how ‘Information’ or ‘Subjectivity’ was missing in all these and how Physicists are still trying hard to get these entities as a part of these theories.

She further told us about the research being done at the Center’s newly established ‘ Institute of Semantic Information Sciences
and Technology’ : based on Bhagvat Sankhya as described in Srimad Bhagvatam written by Ved Vyasa.

It was indeed an real eye opener and fascinating to learn about the wisdom of our ancestors and their deep understanding of mind, matter and their interaction, which even the today’s science is struggling to understand.

Encourage a balanced diet and provide nutritious food, Protien and Vitamin Supplements, Fresh Fruits.

Treat them with respect and dignity, recognizing their strength and resilience.

Try to rehabilitate cancer survivors with artificial foot, Laptops, Smart Phones whenever possible.

Very Happy to Celebrate hashtag#republicday2023 with Underprivileged Cancer Patients at the Dr Earnest Borges Home, which is a dormitory where poor patients from remote parts of India are provided accommodation while they take treatment at TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, which could last several months.

My student mentees Mehwish Qureshi Aditi Bhosale Virakti Dhanmeher and Riya Jha from Usha Mittal Institute of Technology joined me as we tried to bring smile on their face by some music, Dance and also distributing Rations, Goodie Bags.

We Started the evening with a super charging meditation Session at Shri Ramkrishna Math, sought blessings from Swami Vivekanand and his guru Ramkrishna Paramhans.

The Benefits of meditation extend beyond the mentoring relationship. It can enhance mentee’s overall well-being, which will positively impact their mentee-mentor dynamic and other aspects of their life.

The session concluded with an intellectual discourse by Swamiji through wisdom from the Bhagwad Geeta and Upanishad’s.

Meditation is not about “clearing the mind” but rather observing thoughts without judgment. It’s normal for the mind to wander, and the goal is to gently redirect focus to the chosen point of attention.

Mentees who incorporate meditation into their routine can potentially become more self-aware, emotionally resilient, and better able to manage stress, which are all valuable qualities in both their personal and professional development.
